2021 Sigma Xi Young Investigator Award
The UC Chapter of Sigma Xi is pleased to receive nominations for the Sigma Xi Young Investigator Award. This annual award , presented in conjuction with the Office of the Vice President for Research, recognizes a junior faculty member at UC for their early career distinguished research accomplished in a filed of scince or engineering appropiriate to Sigma Xi. This award is made possible by the Violet M. Diller endowment for the UC Chapter of Sigma Xi and the Office of the Vice President for Research.
Deadline for nominations is Friday January 22, 2021.

2021 Sigma Xi Student GIAR Award
The UC Sigma Xi chapter is pleased to accept applications from full time matriculated undergraduate and graduate students for Grants-in-Aid of Research awards in all areas of science and engineering. Three $2,500 awards will be made. Students may use the funds for travel expenses to and from a research site, to present research results at a national science or engineering meeting, or for purchase of consumables research materials and supplies or non-standard labrotory equipment nessecary to complete a specific research project. Funds may not be used for stipends or salary . These grant awards are made possible by the Violet M. Diller Endowment to the UC Chapter of Sigma Xi and the Office of the Vice President for Research.

2021 Sigma Xi Outreach Award
The UC Sigma Xi chapter is now accepting nominations for the UC Sigma Xi Excellence in Outreach Award. This award will honor an outstanding undergraduate student, graduate student, or post-doctoral fellow who instills in K-12 students or the greater community an understanding about the sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, ethics in scince, etc.), mathematics, engineering, or technology. This award is made possible by the Violet M. Diller Endowment to the UC Chapter of Sigma Xi.
Deadline for applications is Friday January 22, 2021.
